FAQs Frequently Asked Questions 1.What are your weekend services like? Each weekend you'll find a relaxed and loving atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and messages that are at times humorous, heartwarming, life applicable, encouraging, promising, motivating and all inspired by the Word of God. You’ll feel like you have known everyone all of your life. You’ll leave refreshed and have an upbeat spirit knowing that “With God all things are possible.” If you have small children you can be assured they will be cared for with the utmost of care filled with love, patience and a God centered environment which offers weekly curriculums geared to their level learning. 2.What will happen when I visit for the first time? If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. 3.What do I wear to attend your services? You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because New Life is not about what you look like or what you wear, it's about learning to be the real you and letting God be God. Our rule is very simple, just come and let God do the rest. 4.Where are you located? Right in the center of Highlands, NJ. 125 Bay Avenue. See Directions and map in the upper right hand corner. 5.Do you have a midweek service or Life Group? Yes. We offer dynamic mid-week Life Groups which focuses on Bible studies and meet in Host Homes throughout the week. Groups are small and you'll meet some of the greatest people on the planet there. Our Life Groups are about REAL life, REAL people and REAL faith. 6.What about my children? At New Life your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children's ministry called FIRSTSTEPS. Our very own mothers work in our children's ministry and love, love, love the children. Here kids are amazing as we see them set the example for the adults in instantly making friends forever. It's what God is all about! 7.How can I meet others and get connected? Just Come and let God be God, it's amazing how He brings people together! You can begin by attending our services, then New Beginnings, Foundations and other small group settings. You can count on it, someone will almost definatly ask you to help them carry, move or hold something. New Life is known for connecting people, here you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. If you can't grow at New Life you may want to have your pulse checked, because every one at New Life is about living there best life right now and people are a part of living your best. One thing you will find at New Life is that everyone is friendly, as though you have known them your whole life. And the greatest thing is, it's REAL! That's what we believe God intneded when He created HIS church. REAL purpose, REAL people, REAL faith. 8.How can I be discipled and grow? Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our New Beginnings, Foundations and Life Groups offer the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process at our next New Beginnings Class. 9.Why do you have small groups? Small groups are an important part of New Life; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As New Life grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to one that’s just right for you. One of the easiest things to do at New Life is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout the County and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support.
