NO ''GLOOM AND DOOM'' NO ''GLOOM AND DOOM'' TODAY'S SCRIPTURE The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over. - Deuteronomy 34:8 TODAY'S WORD Back in the Old Testament of the Bible, it is written that when the people were going through mourning or some sort of a loss, they would mark their foreheads with ashes to signify their sorrow. This type of mouring was permissible and expected. Interestingly, God's people were allowed to grieve for a certain period of time, then God told them it was time to move on with their lives. It's the same way with us today. When we're going through some sort of loss or disappointment, God doesn't expect us to be emotionless. It's okey to go through a time of grieving and sorrow. But don't allow yourself to stay there. Don't let that season of mourning turn into a lifestyle of mourning, living a sour and negative life, going around with a chip on your shoulder, mad, angry and hurt all the time. God wants to turn all that around for you, just follow His lead and you will discover the right attitude for living your very best today. Remember, there is no room for ''gloom and doom'' in your life. You were meant to live your greatest life right now. A PRAYER FOR TODAY Heavenly Father, today the ashes come off and I'm following Your lead into a life of fulfillment, joy and purpose, and it's all for Your glory. I'm going to give You the glory when I'm in the hard places and the easy places, when I'm down and when I'm up. You Father have given me a new life and this life is filled with Your Spirit, Promise and Hope to be all that You created me to be. And I pray this, believing in Jesus Name - Amen!
